I’m a 4th grade ELA teacher. I gave my students a Jamboard research project on how Greek mythology influences culture today. I showed them the basics, and they have run with it. The boards look great and are full of information. Some groups have even thanked me in their slides. My least motivated student thinks this is the best thing ever. They groan when the timer goes off and don’t want to stop. Some are even upset they can only have twenty slides on their board. The best thing is they can collaborate anywhere.

Mix words with terminology ideas. Thanks for this.

I am not seeing the advantage of using Jamboard versus Slides. Also, if you set up your Jamboard template in Jamboard, there is an option to save the frame as an image right in Jamboard. Then you can set the background using the image from Jamboard rather than going back and forth between slides and Jamboard.

Is there anyway to track who does what when collaborating?

I use a template in Google Slides to have 1st graders create an ABC book, finding a word and image for each letter of the alphabet. I think for next year I’ll make it in Jamboard instead. It will be easier for the 1st graders to interact with.

These would be awesome as digital resources using Jamboard. I have had difficulties when making them in Google Drawings. Creating a jam with multiple pages would be beneficial. Using Jamboard along with screencastify submit would allow me to see students doing the chemistry activities as if we were in class.

I already use JAMBOARD and absolutely love it! All my students from 1st-5th grade have apply it on brainstorming, collaborating ideas, exit tickets, questioning, definition/vocabulary, discussing point of views, Math (The answer is 17, what is the equation), etc.

I have tried to design many templates, they work but the sharing part doesn’t work because of the restrictions the school has put on certain programs etc. I do enjoy designing them and playing around with what I can do. If only we can embed a link to a video or to another website
