Coding is a skill that opens doors for students of all backgrounds.
No matter where they live, what color their skin is, what their gender is or how much education they have, if someone knows how to code, he/she has opportunities.
Companies are begging for coders. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, software developer jobs are expected to grow 17% from 2014 till 2024.

In our regular Thursday #DitchBook Twitter chat, we discussed the Hour of Code, the importance of coding and resources to use in the classroom. And there were plenty!
