I love listening to podcasts. They’re kind like personalized radio. I can pick shows that I like and listen to them whenever I want.
Podcasts have been a driving force for me in becoming a better educator. I’ve listened to hours of them while driving, exercising or cutting the grass. I can take that down time and turn it into productive time.
Now I get to be part of creating one from scratch about a hot topic in education: Google.
Kasey Bell (of the Shake Up Learning blog) and I are teaming up to create The Google Teacher Tribe Podcast. It’s a topic we’re both passionate about, and the readers of our blogs always seem to find our Google-related posts most useful.
Here’s an excerpt from Kasey Bell’s blog, Shake Up Learning:
Today I am making an official announcement about my new podcast with Matt Miller from DitchThatTextbook.com, The Google Teacher Tribe Podcast! We are still in the planning stages, but we hope to launch our first episode in early 2017, and I wanted YOU to be the first to know about our fabulous new adventure!
The Google Teacher Tribe Podcast will be a weekly podcast designed to give teachers practical ideas for using G Suite and other Google tools that you can use in your class tomorrow. We will offer our favorite Google tips and tricks, important updates, and effective strategies for K-12 teachers. But wait…there’s more! We will also have interviews with innovative and inspiring teachers.
