Google Sites gives us an easy publishing tool for student work. It’s great for student portfolios and classroom activity hubs.
In the not-too-distant past, if we wanted to get information out to the masses, it was expensive.
Website development was costly and slow.
If we wanted to spread our message through traditional mediums, we needed a publisher, a TV programming director or somewhere to advertise.
Nowadays, the middlemen have been eliminated, and we can create our own websites to get information and ideas out into the world.
To do that, Google Sites is about as free and easy an option as any out there.
Google has revamped Google Sites, making design easier with a drag-and-drop interface and great connections to G Suite tools.
It’s a great benefit in the classroom. It gives students a place to collect their work and reflect on it. Plus, they can publish their projects to the web for anyone in the world to benefit.
In today’s episode, we dig into some of the new changes to Google Sites (we can finally embed HTML code!) and what you can do with it.
